Qualifications

• Terminal degree in the teaching discipline (min 18 grad hours)
• Master’s degree for undergrad programs (min 18 grad hours)
• PT/PTA entry-level degree plus bachelor’s preferred for PTA track
• At least six months teaching experience (preferred)
• Active state licensure or certification as applicable
• Membership in a related professional association (preferred)
• Practical discipline experience and current best practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to build relationships
• Strong time management and attention to detail; proficiency with computing tools

Responsibilities

• Perform Faculty responsibilities as outlined in the Faculty job description.
• Designs and delivers instruction aligned with the South University model.
• Relates experience to learning and infuses industry perspective into courses.
• Promotes student success with flexibility and passion for teaching.
• Manages the educational process for a positive experience.
• Outreach to at‑risk and/or absent students.
• Communicates with Supervisors, Administrators, and Departments.
• Maintains learning environments and enforces academic policies.
• Participates in Faculty development and campus committees.
