Job summary

Windsor Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Windsor, NC seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to lead and support the nursing team, ensuring high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance. You will partner with the DON to plan, supervise, and improve clinical operations across shifts.

The role emphasizes staff development, policy implementation, infection control, and timely responses to surveys and deficiencies, while maintaining residents' comfort, dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Science, Nursing or related field.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current State License as Registered Nurse.
• CPR Certification.
• 2 years RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the D.O.N with planning, directing, and supervising nursing staff activities.
• Ensure Nursing Department compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Develop, implement and update department policies and procedures when necessary or as directed.
• Assist with staffing to ensure resident needs and regulatory requirements are met at all times.
• Participates in Federal, State and Local agency annual surveys.
• Reviews deficiencies noted by government agencies during inspections and assists with corrective actions.
• Completes annual performance reviews of subordinate staff and provides guidance and education.
• Provides counseling and disciplinary actions to staff as needed.
• Responsible for training and educating staff members.
• Maintain infection control and standard precautions at all times.
• Report hazardous conditions, damaged equipment and supply issues.
• Maintain resident comfort, privacy and dignity and interact with warmth and respect.
• Respond to call lights promptly in resident care areas.
• Assist with new admissions, readmissions and transfers.
• Communicate effectively with Residents, families, peers and supervisors.
• Attend departmental meetings and in-services.
