Job summary

The Department Head of Nursing at Wake Tech leads the ADN programs, ensuring regulatory compliance with NC BON, ACEN, and college policies. You will supervise faculty, manage curriculum, and drive program outcomes.

The role emphasizes administrative leadership over teaching, with limited teaching allowed when needed. Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, accreditation reporting, and collaboration with clinical partners to deliver high-quality nursing education and student success

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing and active RN license in NC.
• Experience leading nursing programs with accreditation knowledge.
• Ability to manage budgets and faculty workloads.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for ADN program operations and regulatory compliance.
• Direct curriculum implementation, evaluation, and program outcomes.
• Budget development, resource planning, and staff supervision.
• Coordinate accreditation reporting and interaction with NCBON/ACEN.
• Collaborate with Dean and clinical partners to ensure quality education.
