Job summary

Wake Tech is seeking a Dean of Nursing to provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership for the Nursing Department and its nursing education programs. The Dean will align departmental goals with college priorities, support regulatory compliance, and supervise nursing leadership and faculty.

The Dean will empower the Program Director to manage day-to-day operations, lead continuous quality improvement, and ensure resources support growth while maintaining regulatory and accreditation

Qualifications

Master's of Science Degree in Nursing.
Current unrestricted RN license in North Carolina.
Five years of full-time post-secondary teaching and academic leadership experience.
Supervisory or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct the Nursing Department, align goals with Wake Tech and Health Sciences priorities.
Supervise Nursing Program Director(s) and other nursing leadership.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Monitor program performance: enrollment, retention, licensure outcomes, student success, and outcomes.
Lead quality improvement and implement corrective plans when needed.
Manage budgeting and resource allocation for the nursing program.
