Job summary

Rhodes-State-College in Ohio seeks an experienced nursing instructor to facilitate clinical instruction for nursing students, typically 4-12 contact hours weekly. You will assess and document student achievement according to Ohio rules and supervise learners in clinical settings under state guidelines.

Candidates must be a registered nurse with an Ohio license, holding a BSN or ADN, and ready to teach during evenings or weekends while upholding the community college mission and nursing program

Qualifications

• Requires two or more years' experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse.
• Must be willing and able to work evening and weekend hours if needed and to teach clinical in outlying clinical facilities.
• Requires an appreciation for and understanding of the Community College mission.
• BSN or ADN with RN licensure in Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate clinical instruction of nursing students for 4-12 contact hours per week.
• Provide input to nursing student's achievement and progress according to Chapter 4723-5-19 of the Ohio Administrative Code.
• Supervise students in the clinical setting according to Chapter 4723-5-20 Section (E), of the Ohio Revised Code.
• Be committed to implementation of the philosophy and conceptual framework of the Nursing Program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
