Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking an experienced nurse educator to supervise clinical instruction under the Course Coordinator, Dean of Health Science, or Assistant Dean of Nursing. The role ensures alignment of clinical experiences with course objectives and assessment processes.

The successful candidate will supervise students in clinical labs, participate in meetings, review curriculum, and uphold Nursing Standards of Care and the Code of Ethics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing and active RN license in South Carolina or a compact state.
• Master's degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as an RN or APN in the primary field of responsibility.
• Must maintain CPR certification (adult/infant/child, 1-2 man rescue, AED), TB screening, immunizations, and clear background checks.
• Adherence to Nursing Standards of Care and Code of Ethics.
• Commitment to implementing clinical experiences aligned with course objectives.

Responsibilities

• Participate in clinical instruction as designated by the Course Coordinator, Assistant Dean of Nursing, or Dean of Health Science.
• Supervise and assist students in clinical lab experiences and select clients for student experiences.
• Attend and participate in meetings to ensure course content aligns with clinical experiences and help evaluate student progress.
• Utilize instructional resources to facilitate student progress and maintain appropriate records.
• Review curriculum and course content to facilitate student progress toward meeting objectives and standards.
