Job summary

SUNY Niagara invites applications for part-time Nursing Clinical Instructor roles in the Nursing program. Instructors will teach fundamentals, Ortho/Neuro, Pediatrics, and Maternity in a RN-AD program, with weekly clinical labs of 6 or 12 hours.

Shifts run mornings to evenings across several days, including weekend options. Eligible candidates hold an ASN/BSN in nursing, an MSN (or be enrolled), and an active RN license with recent acute care experience.

Qualifications

• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• MSN degree or current enrollment in an MSN program.
• Current Registered Nurse License.
• Recent acute care experience within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and instruct nursing students in clinical settings.
• Oversee student nursing care to ensure safety and competency.
• Demonstrate procedures and model professional behavior.
• Evaluate student performance via observation and reviews.
• Provide timely feedback to support learning.
• Keep attendance and progress records; communicate with coordinators.

Education

Associate’s or Bachelor’s of Science degree with a major in Nursing

Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) or enrollment in MSN program
