Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
• Current Rhode Island registered nurse license or ability to obtain licensure upon hire.
• Two or more years of clinical experience in adult health, pediatrics, maternal-newborn, mental health, and/or community/public health.
• Experience in nursing education (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Teaches and oversees clinical or experiential nursing education for students, planning and delivering course content and assessments.
• Provides opportunities for application of course objectives in clinical settings and supervises student learning.
• Maintains records of attendance and academic achievement per university and site policies.
• Distributes syllabi with objectives, texts, attendance policy, and evaluation criteria; communicates with students about performance; refers students to university resources as needed.
