Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the Endoscopy Services Department and the general patient care team. You will work under RN/LPN supervision, preparing patients and supplies, taking vitals, and assisting with daily activities to ensure patient comfort and safety.

The role emphasizes basic care, asepsis, patient dignity, and effective communication within a fast-paced hospital environment. Evening opportunities and on-site work at Duke Regional Hospital are offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of Level I Nurse Aide education program approved by the NC Board of Nursing or completion of Level II Nurse Aide education programs.
• Current BCLS certification maintained.
• Inpatient and/or ER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures and provide manual assistance as required.
• Take and record vital signs and monitor patient status.
• Assist providers and nurses with examinations and procedures.
• Provide routine and personal care, help with feeding, grooming and mobility.
• Document patient care in the electronic health record and communicate changes to the RN/LPN.
