The 7-1 Ortho Neuro Unit at Duke Regional Hospital is comprised of a 40-bed floor with Orthopedics and Neuroscience specialties. This is a fast-paced, state-of-the-art orthopedic and neurosurgery unit. The unit uses enhanced recovery after surgery principles to minimize narcotic usage and facilitate quick patient recovery. Most patients stay 6-24 hours, during which they are cared for by a multidisciplinary team including nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, care managers, pharmacists, and doctors. The unit utilizes Epic for EMR, Omnicell for medications, and Pyxis for supplies. We value teamwork and are eager to add motivated nurses to our staff.
Night shifts 7p-7a or Day shifts 7a-7p
Perform a variety of nonprofessional nursing duties in direct patient care under the supervision of an RN/LPN. Handle clerical duties related to patient, unit, and hospital data and records, including operating patient care information systems.
