Job summary

Duke University Health System in Durham, NC is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA I) for General Medicine on day shifts. You will work closely with RNs and LPNs to provide direct patient care, assist with activities of daily living, and maintain patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of routine and special patient treatments.
• Ability to perform direct patient care and assist with non-direct care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures and provide manual assistance.
• Take and record vital signs and assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transportation of patients.
• Document patient care in the electronic health record and communicate changes to RN/LPN.
