Duke Health in Durham, North Carolina, is seeking a Nursing Assistant I to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The NA I provides direct patient care, assists with non-direct patient care coordination, and supports routine procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Essential duties include measuring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, performing basic care, and maintaining patient records in the electronic health system.

Competenze

• NA I certification in NC is required.
• BCLS certification must be maintained/completed by end of orientation.
• Ability to provide direct patient care and routine procedures.

Mansioni

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures and provide manual assistance as required.
• Record vital signs and I&O, and document in the electronic health record.
• Assist RN/LPN and physicians with exams, positioning and non-sterile dressing changes.
• Maintain patient environment and assist with admissions, discharges, and routine tests.
