Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking a Nursing Care Assistant CNA to support patient care in General Medicine with rotating shifts. The NA works closely with RNs and LPNs to provide basic care, comfort, and documentation in the electronic health record.

Candidates must hold NC Nursing Assistant I certification, maintain BCLS, and demonstrate strong teamwork and compassion in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold Nursing Assistant I (NA I) certification with the NC DHHS.
• BCLS certification must be maintained by the end of new hire orientation.
• Ability to perform basic care and comfort procedures and to document patient care in the electronic health record.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures and provide manual assistance as needed.
• Administer routine care including feeding, bathing, mobility and personal care.
• Record vital signs, intake and output, and report changes to RN/LPN.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transportation of patients.
• Follow standard precautions and use PPE as required.
