Provides direct patient care services such as assisting patients during activities of daily living like eating, bathing, ambulating, and eliminating. Obtains and documents vital signs and specimens as required.
The Nursing Attendant is a team member dedicated to providing the highest quality care and services to our patients by assisting with maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment; supporting dietary aspects of care; facilitating communication (e.g., answering phones); transporting patients; and assisting visitors. As an integral part of the team, the Nursing Attendant is responsible for activities that promote patient-centered care within the Patient Unit.
Education, Training & Experience:
- High School Graduate or equivalent, with vocational/technical training preferred.
- Effective English communication skills, both written and oral.
- Graduate of a State Certified Program or 1-year clinical experience as a nursing student/foreign graduate nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Note: For positions with a listed rate, the displayed rate is the hiring rate but may be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education, or other relevant factors.
