Join the Nursing Attendant I - Float Pool team at Allen Hospital, part of NewYork-Presbyterian. Certified nurses aides play a vital role at the bedside, serving as critical points of contact for patients and their families. Collaborate closely with nurses, ICU technicians, and other healthcare professionals to monitor vital signs, ensure proper meal delivery, and safely transport patients. Bring energy, hospitality, and compassion to enhance the patient experience and contribute to a smooth, efficient environment.

Provide compassionate care under the supervision of a registered nurse, perform basic care duties, and maintain a safe, clean environment. Responsibilities include measuring and recording temperatures, pulses, respiration, and blood pressure. Demonstrate teamwork and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

The shift for this position is from 11:00 am to 7:00 am, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Criteria
  • At least 1 year of nurse's aide experience in an acute care setting
Required Criteria
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
  • Must meet one of the following: previous nurse's aide experience in a hospital, certification from an approved nurse aide training program, or current enrollment in a BSN program
