Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Laredo, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a certified nursing assistant to provide safe, patient-centered care under the guidance of RNs and physicians. You will be an active member of the Nursing Team and uphold Service Excellence standards across the unit.

Qualified applicants will have a CNA certificate, high school diploma or GED, and BLS. Prior acute care experience is preferred and CPI de-escalation training is expected within six months.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED is required.
Must possess CNA certificate.
De-escalation training (CPI) within six months of employment.
BLS certification (or obtained during orientation).
Prefer experience in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, competent patient-centered care under RN or physician supervision.
Support the Nursing Team on the assigned unit/department.
Contribute to Service Excellence standards for all customers.

Job Summary:

Provides safe, competent patient-centered care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The certified nursing assistant provides care under the direction of the registered nurse or physician. Participates as an active member of the Nursing Team on the assigned unit/department. Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.
