Job summary

Good Samaritan’s Mandan Sunset facility in Mandan, ND is seeking a Nursing Assistant Trainee for full-time day shifts. The program prepares you to become a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) through a hybrid online and hands-on curriculum.

You’ll work under a licensed nurse to deliver client-centered care in a faith-based, not-for-profit environment. This role requires being 16 or older, with a CNA license obtained within four months of employment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA license required within four months of employment.
• Applicable states require certification and registry with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks under supervision and guidance.
• Document client care when appropriate and report changes to a licensed nurse.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, range of motion, and activities of daily living.
• Support clients with meals, hydration, and psychosocial needs.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and other duties in the non-certified nursing assistant role.
