Job summary

Sunset Health Care Center is offering an Apprenticeship Program to train individuals to become a Certified Nurse Aide. Start as a Nursing Assistant Trainee with 6:00 pm – 6:00 am shifts, earning $16.00 per hour, with potential advancement to $18.00 per hour upon certification and a full-time schedule of 32+ hours per week.

Program includes tuition reimbursement up to $5,000 per year for approved study and education benefits, plus a 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision and other voluntary

Qualifications

• Reading and comprehension at 8th grade level or equivalent.
• Previous healthcare experience helpful but not required.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate in English effectively through verbal and written means.
• Ability to work under stress and in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in daily resident care activities.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety in assigned areas.
• Support with admissions, transfers and discharges as needed.
• Transport supplies, linens, and meals within the facility.
• Keep work and patient areas clean and organized.
