Job summary

Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA, is seeking a Nursing Assistant for telemetry on a full-time, night-shift schedule (12-hour shifts). The NA works under an RN, performing entrusted tasks such as vital signs, EKGs, basic patient care, and transportation, with age-specific duties per unit.

Requirements include CNA program graduate or equivalent, and BLS upon hire; preferred hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited CNA or Nursing Assistant program or equivalent education/experience.
• Completion of 2nd semester of accredited Nursing Program; HHA with 1-2 years experience.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 1 year of Nurse Assistant experience in a hospital or post-acute setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated tasks including vital signs, EKGs, basic patient care and transportation.
• Respond to patient and family needs with age-appropriate care per unit scope.
• Work under the direct supervision of an RN and collaborate with the care team.

Nursing Assistant - Telemetry at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA. This position is Full-time and will work 12-hour, Night shifts.

The Nurse Assistant (NA) role is a non-licensed health care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). These duties may include, but are not limited to EKGs, vital signs, basic patient care and transportation. Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on scope of service of unit/department where assigned.

Required qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of any accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program, or Nursing Assistant program or equivalent educ/experience or demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a corpsman, EMT, foreign-licensed RN or MD)
• Coursework/Training: Completion of 2nd semester of accredited Nursing Program, HHA with 1-2 years experience
