Job summary

Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA is seeking a Nursing Assistant for Telemetry. This full-time position involves 12-hour night shifts and works under RN supervision providing basic patient care, EKGs, vital signs, and patient transport.

Nursing Assistant - Telemetry at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA. This position is Full-time and will work 12-hour, Night shifts.

The Nurse Assistant (NA) role is a non-licensed health care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). These duties may include, but are not limited to EKGs, vital signs, basic patient care and transportation. Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on scope of service of unit/department where assigned.

Required qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of any accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program, or Nursing Assistant program or equivalent educ/experience or demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a corpsman, EMT, foreign-licensed RN or MD)
• Coursework/Training: Completion of 2nd semester of accredited Nursing Program, HHA with 1-2 years experience
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year of Nurse Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience in a hospital or post acute environment.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
