Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for the 5th Floor Surgical Telemetry. You will provide age-appropriate patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and perform vital signs, hygiene assistance, mobility support, and rounds to ensure safety and comfort. Required HS diploma or GED; BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• CNA certification preferred.
• Six months hospital or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate patient care under RN supervision.
• Obtain and document patient height/weight on admission.
• Turn and position patients every 2 hours using proper body mechanics.
• Assist with activity, ambulation, and chair sitting as ordered.
• Assist with personal hygiene (showering, bathing, shaving, shampooing, perianal-care, catheter care, oral care).
• Take and record vital signs within required time frames.
• Perform hourly rounds to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
