Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the Med Surg/Telemetry department in California. The role involves assisting with activities of daily living and providing basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

The position is Per Diem with a variable shift. Applicants should have a CNA certification (preferred) and current BLS. Prior experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients and maintain a safe environment.
• Support Med Surg/Telemetry unit operations as directed.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
