Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the Med Surg/Telemetry department. You will assist with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care, and help maintain a safe patient environment under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

The role requires a CNA certification (and BLS within 30 days of hire), with knowledge of medical terminology and up to six months of relevant acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and basic nursing care.
• Maintain a safe environment under the direction of the RN.
• Support in the Med Surg/Telemetry department as needed.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
