Central Louisiana State Hospital in Pineville, LA is seeking applicants for a Nursing Assistant Supervisor 1 to oversee lower-level paraprofessional staff providing therapeutic and environmental care on a ward during assigned shifts.

This role supports the Louisiana Department of Health’s Behavioral Health program, upholding CLSH’s mission and values while coordinating hospital-community services.

Competenze

• Three years of experience in patient care.
• CNA certificate or Emergency Medical Technician program plus two years of patient care.
• Completion of an accredited registered or practical nursing program plus one year of patient care.

Mansioni

• Supervises Nursing Assistants providing therapeutic and environmental care of patients on a unit during assigned 12-hour shift.
• Prepares daily work schedules and assigns basic care duties for patients.
• Ensures appropriate assignments are made and completed; completes shift reports and participates in change-of-shift reports.
• Reports pertinent information to the appropriate supervisor on an ongoing basis.
• Prepares and reviews evaluations with Nursing Assistants.
• Counsels with subordinate team members.
• Recommends disciplinary actions and other personnel matters.

Central Louisiana State Hospital located in Pineville, Louisiana is seeking applicants for a vacant position in our Nursing Department as a Nursing Assistant Supervisor 1 who supervises lower-level paraprofessional healthcare staff providing therapeutic and environmental care of patients on a ward during an assigned shift.

The Nursing Assistant Supervisor 1 plays a vital role for the Louisiana Department of Health in the Behavioral Health community by utilizing CLSH’s values and mission to deliver quality and effective care to our patients. • Three years of experience in patient care; OR
• Possession of a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate or graduation from an Emergency Medical Technician Program plus two years of experience in patient care; OR
• Completion of an accredited registered or practical nursing program plus one year of experience in patient care.

NOTE: Positions at facilities receiving certain Medicaid or Medicare funds require that applicants possess a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Probational, Promotion, Demotion, Detail, or Transfer.

Compensation: This position has a Special Interest Rate (SER) of $1,299.20 bi-weekly.

Position is eligible for premium pay of $1.50 per hour WORKED and Longevity pay starting at $1.00 per hour WORKED.
