Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the 7p-7a shift in the 5 North - Acuity Adaptable & Observation Unit in Cleveland. The role supports the patient care team with direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision and with administrative/clerical duties.

Qualified candidates will have STNA certification, strong English communication, and be able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to read and write English, follow written and oral instructions, and perform basic mathematical functions
• STNA certification required
• Ability to attain American Heart Association Basic Life Support during initial training and maintain it thereafter
• Ability to work well within a team environment and support team goals

Summary

Supports the patient care team by performing multifunctional activities such as direct patient care, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and administrative/clerical support.

Minimum Qualifications

Formal Education Required:

• Proven ability to read and write English, follow written and oral instructions, and perform basic mathematical functions
• STNA certification required.

Experience & Training Required

• Completion of Summa’s orientation and Summa’s certification for the role
• Attain American Heart Association basic life support certification during initial training period and maintain certification thereafter.
