Job summary
Essentia Health in Duluth, Minnesota is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. You will perform personal hygiene, assist with meals, take vital signs, and maintain a safe, clean environment in accordance with Joint Commission standards.
The position is 0.4 FTE with rotating day, evening, and night shifts, including every other weekend and holidays. BLS certification or ability to obtain within 1 month is required, and enrollment in Essentia Health
Qualifications
- Must have 6 months nursing assistant experience and completion of a nursing assistant training program.
- Enrollment in Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation Course within 30 days of hire.
- Current registration on state nursing assistant registry is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to patients under RN supervision.
- Assist with personal hygiene and nutritional needs.
- Take vital signs and document accurately.
- Transfer patients safely and maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Report changes in patient condition to the RN promptly.
