Job description

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Current or eligible for registered nurse licensure in the State of Michigan.
  • Demonstrated expertise in adult health (medical-surgical) nursing.
  • Evidence of effective teaching or clinical education.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
  • Earned PhD in Nursing or a closely related nursing terminal degree by the time of appointment. Candidates who are All But Dissertation ( ABD ) and are expected to complete the doctoral degree by the date of appointment or within one year of hire are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching undergraduate nursing research, evidence-based practice, and adult health (medical-surgical) nursing.
  • Experience supervising undergraduate research, evidence-based practice, or capstone/practicum projects.
  • Demonstrated record of scholarly activity with the potential to establish and sustain a program of scholarship consistent with tenure expectations.
  • Commitment to student-centered teaching and mentoring within a liberal arts environment.
