Job summary

OhioHealth Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a Nursing Assistant for a PRN/Per Diem daytime role. Compensation is $22.00 per hour.

You will support patients with daily living activities, routine cares, and vital signs as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (or 3+ years of related experience), CNA certification or related field experience, and BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years related work experience.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing, oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who are unable to feed themselves and document oral intake.
• Turn and position immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participate in mobility program.
• Transport patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Education

High school diploma/GED or 3+ years related work experience

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
