Job summary

The Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation, a joint venture with Select Medical, in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Nursing Assistant on a PRN basis. The role includes vital signs, daily care, meal delivery, and mobility support to inpatients in our rehabilitation hospital, with hours from 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.

Pay is $20.00 per hour. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED (3+ years hospital experience preferred) and BLS certification within 90 days of hire, with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3+ years hospital nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Certification as CNA or related field preferred; BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Active hospital experience in inpatient settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing, oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who are unable to feed themselves and document oral intake.
• Turn and position immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participate in mobility program.
• Transport patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
