Job summary

Independence Health System in Greensburg, PA seeks a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Tech to provide direct and indirect patient care under RN/LPN direction. The role supports daily living activities and contributes to patient safety and comfort.

The position includes a $2,000.00 sign-on bonus and opportunities to work across units as needed. Responsibilities include responding to patient needs, documenting care, and assisting with treatments.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Nurse Aide or comparable program (EMT, Medical Assistant, nursing student with clinical, IH Technical Partner Training).
• Strong communication and written skills; ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Ability to communicate complex topics to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care under RN/LPN direction.
• Respond to call lights and patient/family inquiries in a timely manner.
• Collect, document and report patient data; obtain vitals and weights when indicated.
• Maintain infection control standards and provide a safe patient environment.
