Responsibilities

• Performs patient care activities as delegated by the nurse following policies to meet patient needs.
• Provides hygiene care (oral, denture care, perineal care, bathing, etc.) and comfort measures.
• Distributes meals, assists with feeding and notes intake as required.
• Performs I&O, vital signs, measurements, and basic clinical observations per unit protocol.
• Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge processes and prepares room for new patients.
• Maintains clean, organized unit and safe patient environment; responds promptly to call lights.
