Job summary

Atlantic Health seeks a caregiver to work alongside physicians and nurses in providing advanced primary and specialty nursing services. The role focuses on supporting patients with daily activities, transporting patients, and ensuring a positive patient and family experience through alertness and teamwork.

The candidate will assist with vital sign measurements, basic treatments, and maintaining a safe care environment, participating in continuous rounds and other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Supports nursing personnel in providing direct patient care.
• Assists patients with daily activities.
• Transports patients within the facility for consultations, treatments, tests, or examinations.

Responsibilities

• Supports nursing personnel in providing direct patient care and assists patients with daily activities.
• Serves and collects food trays and provides between-meal nourishment.
• Changes bed linen, runs errands and prepares and sterilizes treatment trays and supplies.
• Transports patients within the facility for consultations, treatments, tests, or examinations.
• Measures and records patients' vital signs such as temperature or pulse and provides basic treatment.
• Ensures a safe care environment for the patients and their families.
• Performs continuous rounds and check-ins throughout the shift to ensure patient and family needs are met.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
