Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a patient care assistant to support doctors and nursing staff in meeting the basic needs of each patient. This role involves assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and supporting mobility to ensure compassionate, high-quality care.

The position requires attention to detail, teamwork with RN staff, and the ability to handle routine clinical tasks such as EKGs and phlebotomy. On-site hospital environment in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding and dressing.
• Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights.
• Assists patients with mobility: ambulation, transfers, discharges and ROM activities.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing.
• Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights.
• Assists patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities.
• Performs post mortem care.
• Performs EKGs, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring.
• Observes and reports changes in patients' condition to the RN.
• Maintains phlebotomy equipment and inventory.
• Other related duties as assigned.
