Job summary

Plumas District Hospital in Quincy, California is seeking a Nursing Assistant - RHC for limited part-time coverage. The role coordinates patient care during office visits and assists the nursing staff and physicians as needed.

Compensation includes a base rate of $21.41–$30.53 per hour, with steps recognizing up to 30 years of experience, plus eligible shift differential and holiday pay. This is a non-benefited, limited part-time position.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification or willing to obtain within 30–60 days after hire.
• Knowledge of medical procedures, terminology, and equipment.
• Proficient written and verbal skills.
• Ability to use a computer proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Uses time efficiently, rooms patients on time, anticipates providers' needs and actively works to find additional projects when time is available.
• Take accurate vital signs, performs necessary lab work, and ensures that proper documentation is included in the patient's record prior to providers visit
• Prepares patient room and equipment for procedures, assisting when necessary.
• Assists in updating the medical record with psychosocial, environmental, cultural, demographic, personal, physical, and educational information.
• Documents accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
