Job summary

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in Central Florida is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the Observation Unit on the Night shift. This full-time role focuses on direct patient care and support, working with registered nurses to ensure comfort and safety during the patient’s stay.

You will perform basic nursing procedures, help maintain a clean, organized environment and communicate effectively with patients and team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Post-high-school specialized training preferred.
• Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license preferred.
• BLS required.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.

Join our Observation Unit team and work alongside nurses and other clinical professionals to provide compassionate, hands‑on support to patients throughout their stay.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director/Manager and Registered Nurses, the Nursing Assistant facilitates patient care by providing basic physical care and nursing procedures, assisting with patient comfort measures, and maintaining a clean, safe and organized patient environment.
