Job summary

Cayuga Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Surgical Stay unit. The role is part-time during night shifts (7pm–7am) onsite at Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca, NY. No experience required; orientation and BLS provided as needed. Waived CNA requirements may apply if not certified.

You will support nursing staff with ADLs, vital signs, and patient comfort, with opportunities for certification and career growth within the Cayuga Health System.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification or willingness to obtain will be provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and monitor patient status.
• Record intake/output and vital signs as directed.
• Reinforce patient education and safety protocols.
• Attend mandatory orientation before starting on unit.
