Job summary

Methodist Hospital in Saint Louis Park, MN, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Neuroscience team on 7W. The CNA provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and supports patient-centered care for stroke, seizure, and neurosurgery patients.

The position is .6 FTE with overnight shifts and every other weekend. Minnesota CNA registry eligibility or LPN student status is required; CPR skills are preferred. Park Nicollet benefits apply where eligible.

Qualifications

• Must be listed on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
• LPN student or first-quarter nursing student acceptable.
• Currently CPR skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Neuroscience team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary

The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, utilizing their skill and expertise to complement other health care providers.

Department Summary

Neuroscience (7W) is a 28-bed neuroscience unit. We primarily care for strokes, seizures, and neurosurgery patients. This unit has hardwired telemetry. We are typically caring for patients in their post-acute phase. Safe, patient-centred care is the highest priority on 7W. Candidate should possess good critical thinking, and multitasking and prioritization skills. Candidate must have a clean work record with no “written warnings” within the last 6 months.

Work Schedule

.6 FTE - Overnight shift with every other weekend (8-hour shifts)

Required Qualifications

All candidates must be current on the State of Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry OR be an LPN student or a Jr. level nursing student, which means completion of first quarter clinicals with an accredited RN or LPN program.

Preferred Qualifications

Currently validated CPR skills preferred
