Position Details

  • Full Time, 7pm - 7am
  • Neuro Stroke Unit

Responsibilities include:

  1. Communication and Customer Service: Welcoming patients and visitors, demonstrating professional communication skills, answering calls, assisting with visitor navigation, facilitating patient belongings transfer, and using communication tools effectively.
  2. Electronic Order Management and Order Processing: Assisting with accurate entry of electronic orders, monitoring alerts, notifying staff of updates, and ensuring proper documentation and communication of orders.
  3. Chart Management: Labeling and maintaining paper charts, preparing charts for various patient transitions, and managing record requests.
  4. Patient Flow Responsibilities: Managing admissions, transfers, discharges, and census logs, and supporting documentation for Medicare and other administrative tasks.
  5. Patient Care: Providing age-appropriate care, assisting with hygiene, mobility, nutrition, specimen collection, and ensuring patient safety and dignity.
  6. Communication and Documentation: Timely reporting to nurses, documenting care accurately, and communicating effectively with the care team.
  7. Role Development and Organizational Support: Participating in training, supporting organizational programs, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment.

Credentials:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
  • Certified Nurse Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Experience in healthcare or as a student nurse (0-1 years)
