Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Northeast Ohio (Canton) is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for per diem shifts in Canton, OH. The role supports patient care with bathing, mobility, and daily tasks under supervision.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED (or 3+ years relevant experience), hospital NA experience or CNA certification, and BLS within 90 days of hire. This PRN position offers 12-hour shifts and onboarding orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned
