Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital in Akron, OH is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our patient-focused team. This PRN/Per Diem role offers days and nights (7 am-7 pm; 7 pm-7 am) with extensive orientation and potential for advancement.

Our hospital provides care for brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation and multiple traumas, emphasizing compassionate, comprehensive care for patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, CNA preferred based on state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, hair care).
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients unable to feed themselves, documenting intake.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely and assisting mobility.
• Answering call lights and providing services supporting patient well-being.
• Transporting patients to designated areas and treatment centers.

• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred (maybe required based on some state requirements)
