Select Specialty Hospital - Southeast Ohio in Newark is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for part-time, 12-hour night shifts with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and grooming.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with patient transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment and patient rooms.
• Keep unit stocked with supplies as directed.

Position: Nursing Assistant (NA)

Location: Select Specialty Hospital - Southeast Ohio

Schedule: Part-time, 12-hour shifts, 2 Nights per week and takes part in required weekend rotation

Compensation: $18.05 - $22 per hour (based on years of experience)

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin‑less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair

• Participate in hourly rounds

• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs

• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs

• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition

• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed

• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
