Job summary

Qualifications

• Part-Time Evening schedule from 3:00pm to 11:00pm with every other weekend and some holidays

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide nursing care including vital signs, EKGs, venipuncture, bedside care and personal hygiene.
• Monitor vital signs and document health status in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare providers to coordinate care plans.
• Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) during emergencies when needed.
• Contribute to patient care plans from admission to discharge and support safe transitions

As a Nursing Assistant (NA), a typical day may include:

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living and providing nursing care to patients including taking vital signs, EKGS, performing phlebotomy, assisting with bedside care, i.e. bathing, mouth care, skin care.
• Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to track patient health status
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining strict confidentiality
• Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to facility policies
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and address concerns
• Support emergency response efforts by applying Basic Life Support (BLS) skills such as CPR when needed in acute situations
• Providing patient care, based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients
• Providing for effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment and critical actions
• Ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient's care
• Participating in collaboration of our patient's plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning

To be considered for this NA opportunity, you must have a High School Diploma / GED and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program is preferred or a CNA certificate. This position offers a Part-Time Evening schedule from 3:00pm to 11:00pm and includes every other weekend as well as some holidays.
