Responsibilities

• Provide essential, hands-on daily care to patients under RN supervision.
• Assist nursing staff and physicians in routine and emergency care.
• Monitor patient safety, comfort, and hygiene and report changes to the licensed nurse.
• Assist patient in mobility and transfers, including wheelchair and bed-to-chair.
• Record and report vital signs and basic assessments as assigned.

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Assistant provides essential, hands-on daily care to patients, working under the supervision of RNs to ensure patient comfort, safety, and hygiene.
• Provides basic nursing care to the patient.
• Assists nursing personnel and physicians in emergency care.
• Accepts responsibility for providing safe, appropriate, quality patient care.
• Performs out of bed/back to bed as appropriate.
• Observes patient while performing delegated tasks and reports significant findings regarding patient safety, personal needs, and changes in the patient’s condition to the licensed nurse.
• Responds to call light promptly and courteously.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient record.
• Assists patient in wheelchair, on stretcher, and ambulating.
• Monitors vital signs, specimen collection, intake and output, meal consumption, height and weight, blood glucose testing/monitoring, and point of care testing.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent .

Preferred Job Requirements

• 1+ years of prior Nursing Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience.
• CNA certification.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
