Responsibilities

• Provides essential, hands-on daily care to patients under the supervision of RNs to ensure patient comfort, safety, and hygiene.
• Provides basic nursing care to the patient.
• Assists nursing personnel and physicians in emergency care.
• Accepts responsibility for providing safe, appropriate, quality patient care.
• Performs out of bed/back to bed as appropriate.
• Observes patient while performing delegated tasks and reports significant findings regarding patient safety, personal needs, and changes in the patient's condition to the licensed nurse.

Responsibilities

• TheNursing Assistantprovidesessential, hands-on daily care to patients, working under the supervision of RNs to ensure patient comfort, safety, and hygiene.
• Providesbasic nursing care to the patient.
• Assistsnursing personnel and physicians in emergency care.
• Acceptsresponsibility for providing safe, appropriate, quality patient care.
• Performsout of bed/back to bed as appropriate.
• Observespatient while performing delegated tasks and reports significant findings regarding patient safety, personal needs, and changes in the patient's condition to the licensed nurse.
• Respondsto call light promptly and courteously.
• Maintainsconfidentiality of patient record.
• Assistspatient in wheelchair, on stretcher, and ambulating.
• Monitorsvital signs, specimen collection, intake and output, meal consumption, height and weight, blood glucose testing/monitoring, and point of care testing.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• 1+ yearsof prior Nursing Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)experience.
• CNA certification.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
