Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ is hiring an evening-shift Medical-Surgical Nursing Assistant (NA) for a full-time role. You will work under RNs to deliver essential daily care and support patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include basic nursing tasks, monitoring vital signs, assisting patients in mobility, and reporting changes to the licensed nurse. A High School diploma or GED is required; CNA certification and 1+ year experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• The Nursing Assistant provides essential, hands-on daily care to patients under the supervision of RNs to ensure patient comfort, safety, and hygiene.
• Provides basic nursing care to the patient.
• Assists nursing personnel and physicians in emergency care.
• Accepts responsibility for providing safe, appropriate, quality patient care.
• Performs out of bed/back to bed as appropriate.
• Observes patient while performing delegated tasks and reports significant findings to the licensed nurse.
• Responds to call light promptly and courteously.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Assists patient in wheelchair, on stretcher, and ambulating.
• Monitors vital signs, specimens, intake/output, meals, and point of care testing.

Responsibilities

• Monitorsvital signs, specimen collection, intake and output, meal consumption, height and weight, blood glucose testing/monitoring, and point of care testing.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• 1+ yearsof prior Nursing Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)experience.
• CNA certification.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
