Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Cincinnati Downtown is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to join our compassionate caregiving team. This full-time role offers 12-hour day shifts (7:00a–7:00p) at Cincinnati, OH, inside The Christ Hospital campus.

You will perform patient care tasks, assist with daily activities, rounds, and transport patients between treatment centers while maintaining clean, safe environments. A High School diploma or GED and 3+ years of related experience are preferred; BLS is

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care.
• Conduct hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Monitor and restock supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

$19.64 to $26.44 per Hour, Based off of Experience

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin‑less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student).
