Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing and basic patient care using basin-less methods and assist with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Conduct hourly rounds to monitor patient needs and comfort.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist with transfers via wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans and urinals.
• Keep patient rooms clean and organized; ensure stock levels of supplies.
• Assist in daily unit operations and equipment maintenance as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair

• Participate in hourly rounds

• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs

• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs

• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition

• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed

• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
