ECU Health Chowan Hospital in Edenton is a 25-bed critical access hospital serving 110,000 people across 6 counties. It offers medical and surgical services, including intensive care, a specialty care clinic, and outpatient surgery with endoscopy. The emergency department has 7 beds and approximately 15,000 annual patients. Team members have access to telemedicine links with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
The Nursing Assistant performs specific responsibilities under the supervision of a licensed nurse, within the framework of the NAI listing granted by the NC Department of Health and Human Services, practicing within the philosophy and goals of patient care services.
