Job summary

Fairfield Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with personal care, monitor vital signs, and help with perioperative tasks while maintaining HIPAA privacy and accuracy in records.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, STNA preferred, and CPR training within six months. Physical stamina to lift and move patients is required and prior CNA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent; STNA preferred.
• CPR within the first six months of employment.
• Nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50–100 lbs occasionally and 25–50 lbs frequently; physically demanding role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care including bathing, feeding, skin and mouth care, and changing bed linens.
• Collect, document, and report vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, height, weight).
• Assist with pre-, intra-, and post-operative care including positioning and turning.
• Report changes in patient condition and maintain intake/output records.
• Maintain supplies and report malfunctioning equipment; ensure HIPAA confidentiality.

STNA preferred.CPR/When Seconds Count/HOPE within the first six months of employment.Nursing assistant experience preferred.Must be able to physically exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work. Position may require frequent patient handling activity.
