Job summary

Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, OH is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the direction of a Staff RN. You will provide personal care, assist with activities and document vital signs to support clinical teams.

Responsibilities include assisting with pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care, maintaining supplies, reporting changes, and ensuring HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• STNA preferred.
• CPR/When Seconds Count/HOPE within the first six months of employment.
• Nursing assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the treatment and care of the patient under the direction of a Staff RN.
• Provide personal care that includes bathing, feeding, skin and mouth care and changing bed lines.
• Collect, document, and report vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, height and weight.
• Assist with pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care including positioning, lifting and turning.
• Report changes observed in condition or behavior of patient.
• Assist in maintaining supplies and report malfunctioning equipment.
• Remain compliant with HIPAA and ensure confidentiality of patient information.

STNA preferred.CPR/When Seconds Count/HOPE within the first six months of employment.Nursing assistant experience preferred.Must be able to physically exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work. Position may require frequent patient handling activity.
